For this Etobicoke homeowner, traditional beauty of interior and exterior finishing was a priority. We were inspired by the French Chateau style, leading to an elegant façade clad in Indiana Limestone, complemented by cedar shake roofing, and copper drainage and decorative features.

A little over two years ago, my wife and I began searching for our first home in Toronto. Westarted out looking at condos. After viewing over 30, we were convinced that a home represented a safer and more logical investment.Thequantity of condos under development made us financially weary, and the limited space of those within our budget did not matchour plans to start a family.

RS Homes was approached with a unique opportunity to renovate this dilapidated semi-detached home at Richmond Street and Berkeley, in downtown Toronto. At first glance, it’s hard to imagine the true potential of a property like this.

Lesson Learned… The Hard Way

While RS Homes primarily builds custom homes, from time to time we will build “on spec” – that is, for resale on the open market rather than designing to the needs of a specific client.
