We started our journey building our dream house almost two years ago including searching for the ideal lot in the area we want. Finding a reliable builder that we are comfortable working with (and vice versa) is as important as finding the right building lot. We are lucky we found RS Homes. The project is a complete design build. We worked with the Architect they recommended to put the dream house onto the drawing board, then got the permits late last summer. It was just eight months ago that the bulldozer first appeared on the lot, the house is now taking shape. It involves so many areas, trades, city and utilities. RS Homes made the process easy. Scheduling work and material deliveries can be a challenge to many as I often heard, but their project manager manages it so well that there were hardly any delay or gap in activities. Wish they can control the harsh winter though. We received progress update almost daily via app as well as regular on site visits that some adjustments and decisions can be made to make everything is as perfect as possible. When we are on site, we can discuss with the trade people such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians. They are the subject expert and can often give you the best suggestion. This has been a very positive experience. It is also fun to see every stage of the work.

We undertook a gut renovation of this 80-year-old home on Eglinton Avenue to create a high-end showroom for our services. The project included underpinning the foundation, waterproofing the basement, installing new electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, adding insulation to the ceiling and walls, remodeling the exterior in a combination of natural stone and stucco, and refinishing the interior including the basement. The transitional style, vaulted entry and living room, and stunning necker cube hardwood really energizes the space. The finished product offers a modern kitchen, dining room, vaulted two-story living room, family room loft, two bedrooms, and home office.
